Timothy S. Cahn, PhD

Psychologist

Dr. Cahn has been a licensed psychologist in Washington since 1989, having earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Washington in 1988. He completed his clinical internship in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UW in 1984 and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Harborview in 1989.

With a comprehensive range of services, Dr. Cahn offers psychological assistance to adults, adolescents, and couples. His expertise encompasses general and focused psychological evaluations, individual and couples counseling, as well as consultation and supervision for professionals. Specializing in the evaluation and treatment of anger management, chronic pain and illness, substance abuse, acute and post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD/Tourette’s, anxiety, and mood disorders, Dr. Cahn also provides valuable consultations.

Dr. Cahn places emphasis on individual and couples psychotherapy, employing a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach in his treatment methods.
